pVERI token on PulseChain

Warning

pVERI token on PulseChain is not associated with Veritaseum

PulseChain is a layer-1 blockchain that was launched in May 2023 as a hard fork of Ethereum. It was created by Richard Heart (founder of the HEX cryptocurrency) with the goal of providing a faster, more energy-efficient, and significantly cheaper alternative to Ethereum, featuring lower transaction fees (often 100x lower) and higher throughput while maintaining compatibility with Ethereum's smart contracts and tools. At launch, PulseChain performed a full system state copy of Ethereum's blockchain, meaning it duplicated the entire state—including all accounts, balances, ERC-20 tokens, and NFTs—at a specific block height. This allowed Ethereum holders to receive free "copies" of their assets on PulseChain without affecting their original holdings. However, PulseChain has been controversial due to its fundraising methods (raising billions via a "sacrifice" phase where participants donated crypto without guaranteed returns) and ongoing legal issues, including an SEC lawsuit against Heart alleging securities violations.

The "copy" of Veritaseum on PulseChain refers to pVERI, which is the mirrored version of the original Veritaseum (VERI) token. Veritaseum is an Ethereum-based project founded by Reggie Middleton, focused on building blockchain-enabled peer-to-peer capital markets and decentralized finance (DeFi) tools to enable trustless value transfers and remove intermediaries. Its native VERI token is an ERC-20 asset used within its ecosystem. Because of PulseChain's state fork, anyone who held VERI on Ethereum at the fork snapshot automatically received an equivalent amount of pVERI on PulseChain for free. pVERI operates with the same smart contract code, admin keys, and functionality as VERI but on the PulseChain network, potentially benefiting from its lower gas fees and faster speeds. This is not unique to Veritaseum—PulseChain created "p" prefixed copies for thousands of Ethereum tokens (e.g., pUSDC for USDC).
pVERI is not officially affiliated with or endorsed by Veritaseum or Reggie Middleton—the original VERI project operates independently on Ethereum and Base chains.

PulseChain as a whole carries risks due to its controversial origins, potential regulatory scrutiny, and the fact that forked copies like pVERI may have limited liquidity, no official support, and could be worthless if the network doesn't gain adoption. Crypto forks and communities can sometimes lead to rug pulls or hype-driven pumps, so always verify contracts, use hardware wallets, and avoid hype without due diligence.

You are advised to avoid interacting with pVERI, be sure to check the contract address on PulseChain explorers (e.g., it's the same as VERI's Ethereum address: 0x8f3470a7388c05ee4e7af3d01d8c722b0ff52374) and bridging is not advised..
